Mission Statement
“Our mission is to preserve, present and perpetuate the cultural heritage of the Bulgarian people and to educate audiences of all ages and ethnic backgrounds about Bulgarian culture, such as the Bulgarian language, history, customs, traditions, music, crafts and dance, through exhibitions, performances and other educational activities.”
Purpose
The purposes for which this Corporation is organized are:
- Said corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code
- To preserve, present and perpetuate the cultural heritage of the Bulgarian people
- To educate audiences of all ages and ethnic backgrounds about Bulgarian culture, such as the Bulgarian language, history, customs, traditions, music, crafts and dance, through exhibitions, performances and other educational activities
- To engage in any other lawful acts or activities for which a Nonprofit Corporation may be organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, provided however that the Corporation shall not engage in any other activity or activities that are not in furtherance of one or more exempt purposes as set forth in Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code
- To receive, maintain, and administer funds for the above declared purposes, to expend or apply funds or income therefrom for the above declared purposes, to acquire hold and manage such real estate as will be necessary or incidental to the carrying out of the activities.
